Kastritans and Friends of Kastri,

First of all, please allow me to introduce my self. My name is Dimitri Anastasakis and I am the creator and owner of this website. I grew up, just like many of you, in Kastri Kinourias where I lived until the end of my teenage years. It was then when I decided to move to Canada, where I live to this day. All these years of my life away from Greece, Kastri has always been in my mind and I miss it dearly. I miss it not only because my family still lives there, but also because it was the place where I grew up, I had my first life experiences and perhaps that’s where I lived my carefree years.

It was February of 1997 when I was first introduced to the internet. It was then when I learned how to create websites. When I wanted to create my first website, the first thing that came to mind was Kastri. That’s when the www.kastri.net was born.

Even though it was the first website that I ever made and it was poor in content, it made a great impression and was a success. That inspired me to continue and better the website. Ever since I always try to update the content and to renew the functionality and the appearance of the website. The update is sometimes a slow process due to the lack of time. With very joy I will accept each comment, observation, completion, opinion, etc, for this page, so as to it is always renewed and topical.
